Frequently Asked Questions

COSMETIC TATTOOING

Does it hurt?

Pain is very minimal as you come pre numbed and continue to be numbed throughout the procedure. There may be some initial discomfort depending how your skin takes to the numbing creams.

Most people are very comfortable and some even fall asleep. Keep in mind, this IS a tattoo.

How long will my appointment take?

It can depend on style, I usually allow 2hrs for the initial appointment, touchups usually less. This time includes your consult, brow shaping/mapping, colour choice etc

I have an existing cosmetic tattoo done by someone else, can i come to you for a touchup?

This is a case by case scenario.

Any new client to me is full price no matter where you have been previously. I cannot tattoo over some old tattoos if they are too saturated. I do need to see a photo or see them in person to decide whether or not it can be done.
Sometimes removal is needed first.

No one WANTS removal, and if I suggest removal it is for you to have the best possible results long term.

How do I know what style to chose?

The good thing is, you don't have to chose a style if you are unsure. We go through the options in your appointment. HOWEVER some styles are more suited to certain skin types than others. Unfortunately microblading is best suited for normal to dry skin and won't hold on oilier skin for long. More information on the different styles are stated on each description.

What if I change my mind after paying my deposit?

Unfortunately your deposit is non refundable. It is used as a booking fee which includes the time spent communicating between the client and myself and to hold your spot. Please make sure you want to go ahead with your booking before paying your deposit, If you are unsure I would recommend coming in for a consult appointment prior to deciding.

If you need to change the date, that is fine. We can reschedule as long as we have 48hrs minimum notice.

Last minute cancellations are hard to fill which can result in income lost.

How often do I need to get them redone?

There are many factors that come in to play with the duration of your tattoo. The style chosen plays a big part, the colour, skin type, medications, lifestyle, skincare and other external elements. The colour will just slowly fade over time.
Generally a 'colour boost' or 'touchup' is recommended every 18-24 months.
